Junior Achievement is a not-for-profit organization whose purpose is to educate and inspire young people to value free enterprise, business, and economics to improve the quality of their lives. Since its founding in 1919, JA has contributed to the business and economics education of young people throughout the world. Junior Achievement Nepal is a Member Nation of Junior Achievement Worldwide. JA Nepal is a not-for-profit organization founded in 2002 by Mr. Ram Mani Acharya. In 2002, JA Nepal successfully registered its name and trademark with the Nepalese Government and gained permission to formally operate in Nepal.
How JA Nepal Works
JA Nepal develops business and economics-based curriculum for students from grade school to university. We partner with schools to reach our students and recruit volunteers from the corporate sector to teach the programs. Our programs are financed largely by corporate sponsors.
Programs and Impact
JA Nepal now implements 6 programs in over 6 schools all over the Nations. In the 2005-2006 school year, more than 800 students participated JA Nepal's programs.
